The 2022 Champions League final has been moved from Saint Petersburg, Russia following the country's invasion of Ukraine, European football's governing body UEFA announced Friday.

The European club showpiece, scheduled for May 28, has been switched as a result of Ru sia's military action.

The decision to change venues was first reported by of the on Thursday, but has now been made official.

Where has the 2022 UEFA Champions League final been moved to?

While the Champions League final is on the forefront of everyone's minds, Ru sia is also scheduled to take part in the final stages of UEFA World Cup qualification in March.
