The German corporation has announced the debut of a new compact crossover, which will be held in India on February 3, 2 days before the opening of the auto exhibition Auto Expo. A teaser of the new model was published on the pages of the Indian division of the brand in social networks.
The cross, which due to its size can now be called a direct competitor to Hyundai Creta, will be built on the MQB A0 architecture, which is a simplified version of the MQB modular chassis designed exclusively for India.

Design and many technical characteristics, the novelty, obviously, will borrow from the European T-Cross, which has a length of 4107 mm and a wheelbase of 2563 mm.

About the line of cross-country engines so far nothing is known. In India, the model will go on sale in 2021, and its direct counterparts will be Hyundai Creta and KIA Seltos. Whether a crossover will be available outside of India is currently not reported. Volkswagen will release new GTX models

In April, Volkswagen will showcase a new model at the New York auto show - the ID.4 crossover, the brand’s second production electric car. It is followed by a variation of the ID.5 coupe-shaped crossover. Both new and used models will acquire high-performance modifications.

Such electric cars will be issued with a GTX badge - an analog of the GTI-versions of models with internal combustion engines. "Charged" variations of the ID family. will receive a pair of electric motors as standard - one on each axis.

Presentation of Volkswagen ID.4 as a prototype ID. Crozz was held back in 2017. It is based on the MEB platform, originally created for the development of electric vehicles. The total performance of the pair of engines was 300 hp, and the claimed autonomy is about 500 km.

In the GTX version, the power of the power unit will be greater, and the range on a single charge, therefore, will decrease.
